FAQ: Business event moderation
  • What types of events do you moderate?
I moderate business forums, plenary sessions, panel discussions, round tables, award ceremonies, on-stage interviews and pitch sessions. I work both with public conferences and closed corporate events where structure, timing and a comfortable environment for high-profile speakers are crucial.
  • Why do we need a professional moderator at a business event?
A professional moderator keeps the session focused, structured and result-oriented. They prepare the scenario in advance, guide the discussion, manage time and energy in the room, and help speakers communicate in the audience’s language.
  • How do you prepare for a panel or plenary session?
First we clarify the goal of the session, the key message and the audience. Then I study the topic and speakers’ biographies and prepare a detailed script: timing, blocks of questions, transitions, interaction with the audience and online questions. If needed, we schedule short preparation calls with speakers.
  • Do you work with closed strategic and corporate sessions?
Yes, I regularly moderate strategic sessions, client meetings and internal corporate conferences. In these formats I pay special attention to confidentiality, a psychologically safe space for dialogue and clear rules of discussion agreed in advance.
  • Can you moderate online or hybrid events?
Yes, I work with online panels, webinars and hybrid events where part of the audience or speakers join remotely. For such formats we separately plan how to use the chat, collect questions from online participants and synchronize what happens on stage with the live stream.
  • How far in advance should we book the date?
Ideally, you contact me 4–6 weeks before the event. This gives us enough time to clarify goals, prepare the script and do a warm‑up with speakers. If needed, I can join projects on a shorter notice.
  • Can you be both a moderator and a speaker at the same event?
Yes, this is possible: we can combine moderating a session with a separate keynote, workshop or master class. It is important to clearly separate roles in the program and agree on expectations in advance.
